Did you see the extended trailer for the anime? It’s so wonderful and exciting! And Kei and Ushio sing the theme song that Ichiho-sensei wrote the lyrics for!

Volume 2 of the series, Sekai no Mannaka, will also get a Drama CD release! And Boku no Taiyou from OFF AIR will get a bonus Drama CD with the Yes ka No ka Hanbun ka Guidebook coming in December!

Ichiho-sensei has been releasing snippets with the cover of Tsunaide, which I’ll try to translate soon!

There are new Yes ka No ka announcements! There will be an official guidebook for Yes ka No ka Hanbun ka that will be released with the anime when it comes out in the winter! It will include information about the anime, an introduction to all the books, character relationship diagrams, glossary of terms, parody manga from guest artists, a new story, and lots of other special extras! I can’t wait for the release! The editors are taking requests and ideas for the guidebook at the hashtag until July 31st. I saw people submit requests for the characters’ Wiki pages! 😘 And a collection of Kei’s recipes, lol.

There will also be a new book of the spinoff! It’s tentatively slated for sale on August 10th! It’s called Tsunaide, and it will have the new story Tsunaide and the previous story Hiraite about Sakae and Shitara. So many happy announcements!! I’ll reveal a bit more after I finish translating Fusaide! There’s just two more chapters to go for the story.

I would love to get your opinions on a translation decision that I need to make. Bloodlines Ablaze has a very strong British/European-inspired fantasy setting, but there are some very obvious Japanese anachronisms that show up and personally throw me out of the story: things like bowing profusely to apologize. Yes, it’s fantasy, so there are no rules, but it is also very strongly Western-inspired. How would you prefer to see the Japanese anachronisms? Remove/smooth them out? Or keep them in? I’d love to hear your opinions! I’m personally leaning towards removing/smoothing them out.

How should I handle Japanese anachronisms in Bloodlines Ablaze?

  • Keep them in. (67%, 16 Votes)
  • Remove or smooth them out. (33%, 8 Votes)
