How did you like Volume 3? It hurt a lot, but I thought it was all worth it in the end.
With the anime adaptation announcement, it’s interesting to see how people translate “Yes ka No ka Hanbun ka.” My first instinct was to translate it as Yes, No, or Down the Middle? But as I read through the story, the concept of “halves” was so strong, that I thought that I should include the word “half” in the title. I considered “half and half,” “halfies,” and “split in half” for a bit, but I think that “maybe half” rolled off the tongue a little better. There were also the lines where Kei admits that maybe half of him loves Ushio in Volume 1. Anyway, it’s always a struggle coming up with a translation that captures the essence of a title, but I hope that you found it interesting.
Fujoshi. Hijinks.
And the bittersweet traces of lemon candy drops.
Yes with the half huhu the implications that come with it thooo huhu <3 so sweet
I’m glad that you found the translation to the title meaningful! It definitely helps to read through the entire story first before choosing how to phrase the title.
